During the summer of 2019, straight after the Spice Girls UK tour, I went on a world tour of prides with Sink The Pink. It was an incredible adventure, with some of the most wonderful I’ve ever met. I learnt a loads about myself, the LGBTQ+ community and more specifically, drag queens! On the road, we performed shows in Brazil, Chile, the USA, Sweden, Germany, Spain and the UK, where I sang a selection of my biggest hits, some Spice Girl favourites, a couple of cool covers and my new song, High Heels.
Everywhere we went, we received a wonderful reception and it truly was heart-warming experience. Our London show took us to The Troxy, for the Pride after party. It was amazing to get back to the place that inspired High Heels, when I performed at Sink the Pink’s club night, more than two years ago. Back then I was completely blown away by the wonderfully inclusive atmosphere, all the fabulous costumes and beautiful faces. It was such a treat to be part of something so joyous and I completely fell in love.
We’ve had the most incredible year together, being fierce and fearless. It was a far cry from a sold out stadium tour but I wouldn’t have changed any of it for the world. I’ve made friends for life and had the experience of a lifetime!
